Thomas - You'll be hard pressed to find a cruise with so few days remaining, but if you already have passports and the associated paperwork you may have a good shot at finding a quick getaway. I'd recommend talking to a cruise travel agent to see what last minute openings may be available and what arrangements can be made. Likely you won't have much choice about cabins, and you will probably need to pick up your paperwork when you reach the port (no time for delivery). Bon voyage!

I'm looking for a last minute weekend cruise starting the weekend of JAN 18 and departing from somewhere on the east coast, New York, Boston, Baltimore. My friends and I are semi flexible on the port and completely flexible on the cruise line. We are all military personnel if that helps with discounts etc.

Audrena -- You have plenty of time to find a great bargain. I'd suggest consulting with a travel agent and seeing what options they can offer. Your biggest savings will be if you can drive to the port instead of pay more for airfare, but if you have to fly, it will be cheaper to arrange your flights yourself rather than pay through the cruise line. Just be sure to leave enough time to travel from the airport to the ship and to account for possible delays.

Other ways to keep the trip inexpensive include avoiding shore excursions through the ship (you can get off the ship and explore without paying extra), avoiding as much drinking and gambling (very high cost margins on those), and doing any spa treatments while in port for more savings.
