Jess - I'd recommend visiting some of the most popular cruise lines web sites, including Carnival Cruises and Royal Caribbean Cruises. There, you can view deck plans and see what layouts they have, as well as what features appear on different ships. Some of the most popular features include show lounges, shopping malls, pizzerias, pools, whirlpools, day spas, bars, and casinos, but there are a lot of different things that are great fun on different ships, and the biggest attractions depend on the type of people you want to attract to the ship. For family cruises, for example, add more pools, children's areas, a waterslide, and stuff like that, but for more expensive, luxury cruises, a library, card room, lecture hall, and wine bar would be more appropriate. Best of luck with your project!
-- Contributed by: MayntzI am doing a project for a grade 11 geography travel and tourism course. Right now we are working on building a cruise ship design and route that the ship will take. We must draw out the different decks of the ship as well as making it as desirable as possible. I was hoping that you would be able to tell me what are the biggest attrations that draw people to your cruise ship, and what a cruise ship should consiste of. It would be very helpful. Thank you for your time.

Some newer and larger ships also offer "family" staterooms that may be a bit bigger and can sleep more passengers. Disney Cruise Line in particular offers larger, more spacious cabins to accommodate larger families. You can consult with a cruise travel agent about other lines that may work best for your needs.
-- Contributed by: Mayntzwe are a family of six ( 2 adults and 4 children ) are there rooms this big or are there rooms that are adjoined together? we are looking for a trip to Disney and cruise out to Bahamas or someother tropical paradise.
