Lisa - I'm sorry you had a poor experience. You could try contacting Carnival's customer service department to discuss the situation with them, but it can be difficult when there are no witnesses to what may have happened to your daughter. While most cruise lines are willing to assist if there is any way that the cruise ship or employees may have contributed to the incident, if it was just an accident on your daughter's part it will be more difficult to resolve.

My family and I went on a carnival cruise in dec of 2008 for our anniversary with our immediate family and others and my daughter was in camp carnoival she was supposed to be under supervision she went to the bathroom and ended coming back out with a broken finger her total thumb nail fell off and she had to be put in a cast when we got home and plenty of doctors appts I contacted carnival and all they couls say was we are trained professionals and were sorry. did not even offer to pay the dctrs bills. I will never cruise with them again.

Simon -- The exact testing schedules for lifeboats and other safety equipment varies for each cruise line and the countries the ships are registered with. I'd suggest contacting the specific cruise line you are interested in to research this information.

I have a question, how often are the lifeboats tested, not by the crew but by a thired party company?
