Shipboard Opportunities
If your desire is to work on a vessel as it makes its way from port to port and have the adventure of a lifetime as you tour the world, then consider employment aboard a cruise line.
Carnival has over twenty ships, ranging in size. There are a variety of employment positions, or fun jobs, to choose from. You must be qualified and in some cases certified in your profession, and you have to be 18 or older to work for the cruise line. Having a valid passport is also a requirement. Above all, a willingness to learn and make sure that the passengers aboard the ship are taken care of are essential qualities to bring to the job.
The are several categories for Carnival cruise line jobs available aboard the Fun Ships include:
- Spa, Beauty and Fitness - These positions are for hairstylists, massage therapists, barbers, and fitness trainers.
- Entertainment - If you are a piano player, vocalist, dancer, comedian, magician, or other type of performer, there are jobs in the entertainment arena for you aboard the ship.
- Gift Shop - Each vessel has a gift shop and if you enjoy sales, this could be your spot.
- Shipboard Casino - Slot technicians and dealers are always needed and if you have experience, this could be the job for you.
- Shipboard Medical - These are needs for nurse practitioners, nurses, and doctors to care for the ship's crew and passengers.
- AV Media Staff - Video weddings, show technicians, and photographers are always in high demand.
- Golf Professionals - If you are a golf professional and are qualified to teach others, there is a job for you.
- Shipboard Information Systems Manager - The IS Manager monitors all shipboard computer systems and is responsible for data security as well as daily and weekly reporting.
- Destination Shopping Specialist - For those with sales experience, this high-energy position focuses on getting passengers to look forward to shopping at the various ports of call.

There are two options to choose from as you apply online, either US and Canada Applications or Rest of World Applications. Carnival employs people from all over the globe and the application will even ask about the languages you speak.
